5 Years in Real Estate!

Today marks 5 years in REAL ESTATE for me!

You may not know this, but I worked for Hawkins-Poe "several" years ago 😏 So it seems natural that this where I am today!  

When I decided to get my license, I had a goal and business plan in mind! I wanted to focus on serving my clients and am truly passionate about helping them buy or sell their home. I have always been a referral-based agent, I depend on friends, family, business owners and past clients for my business. I have never bought leads, I tried to door knock and cold call for a hot second, but I quickly realized it was not for me! I’ll let you in on a little secret, I HATE SALES! I don’t like being pushy, disrupting people or making awkward, unauthentic conversations. 

I started thinking how I can show my community that I am here to support and lift others up in a genuine way? Having my friends who are Rockstar ⭐️ small business owners, I started to collaborate with them on ways to bring awareness to our business’ and help spread the word that we are here and ready to serve our community and clients! I love working with others and finding new and fun ways to get involved with our community! 

I am proud to be a REALTOR® and I take my responsibilities as one very seriously! Real Estate is the biggest investment most people will ever make, it requires years of continuing education, competence and focus to look out for others well-being and their hard-earned money! Real Estate is my only gig, this isn’t a side hussle for me, I don’t have another career to take me away from providing my clients top level service.  I want to learn all I can so I can be my clients biggest advocate!  I’ll be honest, this business can be brutal! You work with all kinds of personalities, all kinds of hours, and deal with many emotional and stressful life changing circumstances. There are days I want to throw in the towel and just give up… but the reward is so worth it! Helping clients move onto new chapters in their life, finding the home they have been dreaming of, especially when they didn’t think they could buy, guiding them through land purchases and watching the progression of making their dream become a reality, making the call that WE GOT THE HOUSE when there are multiple offers and the best part of all… giving them the keys to their new home, where they get to make new memories and dreams in! What an honor it is to get to be a part of those stories! 

5 years seems like a lifetime ago and I don’t remember what life was like before I got on this wild ride! (kind of like having kids) I look at how much I have grown personally in this time and how much I have had to get out of my safe bubble, get uncomfortable and stop carrying what others thought! I never knew of all the wonderful people that would be brought into my life when I got started in this biz! I am grateful for them all, as they have brought me to where I am today! I look forward too many more years of serving you all and the all the new relationships and endeavors that are yet to come! Cheers to 5 years! 🥂
